Teach Me Grammar Program 2011-18
Applications for the 2017-18 program now open
Are you interested in improving your explicit knowledge of English grammar and in exploring ways to teach grammar more effectively to adult learners of English?
After seven highly successful years, the Department of Training and Workforce Development are funding another Action-Learning Professional Development program in Perth under the title "Teach Me Grammar", starting in 2017 and continuing through to June 2018.
This time, there are two options:
Pleaes Note: Due to limited funds, only the most popular option (based on the number of appplications) will be funded.
The program caters for a group of 12 WA-based language and literacy teachers of adults – CaLD learners, Indigenous learners, Deaf learners, native-English-speaking learners etc. Selection for participation is competitive.
The program itself is free of charge and regional participants can also apply for financial assistance to attend (travel, accommodation costs etc).
No prior knowledge of grammar is required.
If you are interested in participating in the program, click here for the current Program Guidelines and Application Form. It is anticipated that there will be one final face-to-face, Perth-based program starting in February 2018. This will be advertised later this year.
